佐为已离开，但光的围棋生涯还在继续。接续动画版的剧情，这部是之后推出的OVA，讲述了这群年轻棋手们的北斗杯之旅。 经过一番努力和征战，进藤光（川上伦子 配音）终于成为了一名职业棋手，这是对自己能力的认可也是全新的开始。成为职业棋手后的光从棋院那得知了北斗杯的消息，这是为18岁以下的年轻人举办的围棋赛，会有来自中国、韩国等围棋强国的青少年参与。兴致勃勃的光把这个消息告诉了塔矢亮（小林沙苗 配音），亮听到后一脸淡然的说自己已经是北斗杯确定的参与选手了。而光还得参与预选赛，才有资格和亮一起站在北斗杯的现场，通往北斗杯之路就此拉开。。A group of Czech artists choose to ignore the realities of Nazi occupation in this brooding experimental war drama.
