A TV producer has gotten the idea of developing a movie based off of the events of Monk's capture of Steve Wagner in "Mr. Monk and the Astronaut."。三个蠢贼盗取宝物后被人发现，宝物误入市井小民之手。三贼便以租客为由想再次将宝物拿回，却在美女房东及其他两位租客的阴差阳错阻拦下，三贼被警察所捕，宝物最终被归还给国家的故事。。
