作为青年导演冉吟啸的第二部作品，《愿江海一直向上流》以重庆为背景，讲述三个没有血缘关系的人之间别样的亲情故事。影片时间跨度长达近一个世纪，记录了两代人，两个家庭的生活轨迹。。A brother and sister move into an old seaside house they find abandoned for many years on the English coast.
